With the new highly disliked Energy Star Version 3 Program, local companies such as Georgia Power has stepped in to provide their own programs similar to that of Energy Star Version 2(a well-liked program).
Georgia Power offers incentives to builders for keeping houses as energy efficient as possible and have also taken steps to use multiple channels of marketing in order to get the word out.
Georgia Power has also provided videos for people who do not know what the HERS Index is and who may not be sure whether or not their home is energy efficient. This promotion is a great step in helping homes become more energy efficient.
